Before my Instagram was disabled (read all about the experience here), I had filled up my entire Saved section with posts from different high fashion accounts and local labels showcasing their best sheer fits. I knew that I wanted something dramatic yet classy for my first look in New York, and there was no better option in my heart than an all-black ensemble with a fancy mesh centerpiece!

Fran Fits: Something In This Outfit Only Costs P200, And No, Not The Accessories

For the past few months, I’ve found myself drowning in Pinterest board after Pinterest board until the early hours of the morning. I’ve been obsessing over model off-duty looks, thinking of new ways to incorporate their clothes into my own wardrobe.

I was talking to a good friend of mine the other day about the simplicity of most of these looks, and we both agreed that, more than the clothes itself, its the fit of the pieces that make these street style outfits look as good as they do.

In line with that, I’ve spent an ungodly amount of time looking for the perfect classic items to act as staples for my closet. I’ve been eyeing white denim skirts, but I just couldn’t settle on one that fit both my taste and budget.

Fran Fits: The Backwards Crop Top Look

Without checking any statistics, I think we can all confidently assume that crop tops are probably the most mass produced articles of clothing out there at the moment. Every brand offers some sort of variation of this trendy style and for good reason too— it’s versatile and can accommodate thousands of designs and cuts.

With that in mind, I always make sure to remember that crop tops are extremely flexible pieces, so each time I purchase one it should be able to live up to that reputation. If the top can only create one type of look, it’s a no for me.
