Kylie Jenner, Who?: Snoe Beauty Glam Jam Lip & Cheek Plumper Tints

  • This post is sponsored, but all opinions stated are mine and unbiased.
  • Just this morning, I was watching one of my favorite YouTuber’s latest vlogs where she tested out the new iPhone 11’s camera features through a mini shoot across town. When she tried out the Slo-Mo Selfie, she joked about how awkward she would look trying to pose in slow motion, because she didn’t have the face for it. “If I had really luscious lips, I could bite them or move them around for the picture and still look really good. But since I don’t, I’ll just look stupid!” she joked
  • This got me thinking: It’s true. Plump lips can make anyone look good, even if you’re doing the most ridiculous facial expressions.

As someone who used to run a Kylie Jenner fan account, I know all about the magic of those much coveted thick lips. The more pillowy, the better. We all we watched as the Internet went on a wild goose chase trying to achieve those lips without injections, through more doable tactics like overlining lipstick to crazy techniques like sucking your pursed lips in a shot glass to get them temporarily swollen afterwards.

But now, you don’t have to risk your health or accidentally looking like a clown just to get that soft and luscious pout.

Introducing Snoe Beauty’s Glam Jam. This lip & cheek plumper tint is their newest product, featuring reliable 3D plumping technology. It’s claim to fame revolves around its long-lasting ability to give you supple lips and higher cheekbones while minimizing the appearance of lines and wrinkles around those areas. So if you’re lacking a little moisture and volume, this is the tint for you!

It comes in 4 colors (top to bottom, counterclockwise): Chocolate, Orange, Strawberry, and Bubble Gum. The coolest thing that I noticed about them is that each shade smells exactly like its namesake! For Swiping these on your lips is like having a taste of Chocnut, Royal, Potchi, and Hubba Bubba!

    Ingredients

Now, let’s talk about the main ingredients. Glam Jam is exclusively manufactured here in the Philippines, so you know it’s 100% safe for Asian skin. But let’s get into detail, shall we?

    Beta-Glucan

This is a polysaccharide sugar that serves as a skin-soothing agent. It’s known to improve redness and sensitivity in the skin. Derived from mushrooms, it has a better moisturizing effect than hyaluronic acid.

    Acerola Cherry

This extract is laden with vitamin C and antioxidants, allowing it to boost collagen production for skin that retains firmness and elasticity. Additionally, it also keeps your skin radiant.

    Escargot

This snail extract is famous for smoothening out wrinkles and spots caused by sun damage. Its mucus produces collagen and elastin to soothe creases and aid in skin regeneration.

    Personal Review

Upon swatching it on the papers, the first thing I noticed was that they were very diluted. These are water-based tints, so this observation was neither surprising or a bad thing. This just means that they aren’t too pigmented. Personally, I like a natural looking stain as compared to something highly vibrant, so this was a win for me.

    Strawberry

As you can see in the picture below, my lips in Strawberry don’t look overtly red. They’re just sporting a nice cherry shade.

    Bubble Gum

I’ll admit that I expected this to be my least favorite color, since I’m not really a big fan of pink lipstick. But I was pleasantly surprised to discover that this just gave me a really subtle rosy flush! It doesn’t look unnatural at all— in fact, it actually just looks like my lips but better.

    Chocolate and Orange

I wanted to test out the wearability of the tints on other parts of my face, so I decided to try Chocolate mixed with the Too Face Sweet Peach palette on my lids and Orange on my cheeks. Like I said, the colors aren’t too pigmented but they look amazing if you’re going for dewey or wet makeup. I was incredibly impressed by how these two shades held up against my liquid foundation and power products— once dried, there was absolutely no smudging or patchy mixing.

The only caveat I do have for this product is that its best applied with a moisturizing lip balm underneath. It’s definitely less drying than other tints I’ve tried, but after around 5 hours, a chapstick touch up becomes a must.

Overall, I’m a pretty big fan of the Glam Jam products and would totally recommend this to anyone looking for a natural take on instantly plumper lips. It’s effective and it’s affordable at only P199. What more can you ask for?
